My Skin care Routine

First this post is going up on St Patrick's Day! Since I do have Irish in my family let me wish you all a  La Fheilie Padraig Sona Duit!

What do I use for my Skin Care?

I have been trying out some new things due to reactions of my lupus rash .
For the most part, half of  the things I tested were pretty good but expensive .

So that got me thinking. Why would I spend a good amount of money on products when I can get a  discount on brands because I am a licensed Master Esthetician?
It's the one brand of products I know I like and  has shown results.
I know crazy right ? stick with what I know ... I don't know why this never crossed my mind .

The One Brand I am talking about is Dermalogica-

The products are researched by The International Dermal Institute-
they address a specific set of concerns
so it's set up in a system of skin treatments .
The regimens are tailored for you by a skin therapists which you can find at Ulta or in a spa .

I hadn’t  heard of this brand until I went to school for aesthetics.
This brand and Glymed is what was used on our clients in the spa.
I really like Glymed also ,but it can be a Little hard on my sensitive skin.

Now when I talk skin care there are some huge  Pros and Con's

A big *Con to most people at first is it's  a huge investment.  You do put out a pretty big change of cash  which can be scary.
*Pro- once you purchase the basics you can add little treatment products here and there .
*Pro-The product quantity is equal to the value.
*Pro- in most cases a pea size amount is all you need.
So the product is going to last .
* Con- You have to try it to see if it works for you and hopefully you have no reactions to any products
* Pro- Most skincare brand's have samples that you can purchase for a reasonable price to try out .
I think the Pros out weigh the con's as well as the results you will see .

I have a full night and day regimen that I do.
It may seem like a lot but it works for me and this is something that I push myself to do every night no matter how tired I am. The results you see keep you pushing day after day to take care of your skin.

Okay so let's begin -I will be listing what I use and details as well as pricing from The Dermalogica web site which you can find here-   http://www.dermalogica.com

I believe that skin care is important and that it should be at least the one thing you should do every day this will help you in the future.
The clients that i mostly treated were women and men over 40 who let there skin care go and now have to pay a ton of money on treatments and skin care so they feel better about the aging process.

Even while I am lying in bed not able to move or do anything else I at least take care of my skin.
I have also noticed that my lupus rash hasn’t been as bad. I don’t know if this is helping but I am loving the results . I find that when I have a rash that it is mild and seems to disappear faster. Who knows?

My Love for Skin began when i was in my teens I was allergic to all fruits and nuts so at that time it was hard to find something I could use that i wouldn't break out or have  a bad reaction.  My skin care was rubbing alcohol .
I know ,so bad for your skin.. but it helped and my face was still moisturized not dry like it should have been . I was very Lucky  as a teenager to be blessed with good skin and the occasional breakout.

That wasn’t my only reason for my skin care and makeup love. I owe this to the Egyptian Culture . Have I told you that  I love the Egyptian culture? I  have always been mesmerized by how resourceful and creative they were with skin and body treatments as well as makeup .
This was something I loved but was never something I could play around with as a teenager I didn't have money so the brand of choice was Wet and Wild .

My school experience was amazing a lot of up's and down's But I am glad that I did it.. I was always the one receiving the treatments when going to a spa.
I have been licensed in Master Esthetics for 6yrs now and I miss it.
I do an occasional treatment or chemical peel on my kiddos but this is something that takes a lot of my energy ..
I am happy that it was something I was able to do for a few yrs. a dream of mine conquered. No Regrets .

Well that is all I have for you today
If you have any questions about skin and treatment options drop me a note in the comments or email me and I will see what I can do to help you figure it out.
Thanks again for taking the time  to read and hopefully I answered your questions.
                                                      Love You all,
As always keep fighting and stay strong

                                             Misty

I am so behind on this blog post as well. What's New? Being sick for 2 weeks can do that to ya. More than likely this post will go up and Feb's will follow right after. Since it's March, already. Looks more pinky in the photo The theme for the month was -Game Face *Set those goals you're looking for and Crush them while looking fierce.* I will conquer__________________? What would you put on the line? Mine would be Lupus Of course! Let's get into my bag first  -  Here is everything I received The 1st product I got was an eyeshadow  from the brand  Absolute New York  It sells for $4.99 in the shade- VIP The shade is a golden bronze shade that you can wear alone or create a gorgeous smoky eye. ESSENCE MAKEUP REVIEW

Makeup can be high end and really expensive or drugstore and very budget friendly.  Just because a drugstore brand is budget friendly doesn't mean it is bad quality. Right? Recently while perusing my local Ulta store with Jayedyn                      (on the hunt for a blue eye liner )  after looking at all the different brands from Urban Decay, Ulta , Nyx etc. and coming up empty and disappointed we were ready to walk away when i suggested one more look . Tucked away on an end cap of the isle was a small product line. I had never even looked at this brand before but sitting on the shelf was the perfect blue shade of eyeliner that Jayedyn was searching for & on a 15 yr old girls budget too. I started to take a closer look at some of the products . The nail polish is what  drew me in, the colors were so pretty, it also looked like there were a few dupes for some high end products as well. I ended up picking up a few products to try .  The brand I am talking about  is @

Her ashes will be spread around a mountain area with horses That was her passion! This won't happen until May or June so it made christmas a bit rough . But we made it through.
