August Ipsy Review

Isn't this gorgeous? I would love to decorate my front porch this way. But I would have to have a front porch first, living in a town home takes that away . 

Fall is just right around the corner and I couldn't be more excited. This is the one season that I can actually be outside more. 
The weather is almost perfect for me and I don't have to worry about the hot summer sun blasting down and making me sick or getting a butterfly rash . 
It's not cold enough to freeze me to death.  That is my burden with this Lupus Disease.

 It's just a no win with me. I am either too hot and sick  or too cold and stiff  to where my body will shut down . 

 I enjoy watching the leaves change colors, the fashion that is boots,hoodies, Sweaters. But most of all the Smells of everything pumpkin comes out. The smells of  cinnamon and brown sugar just  fall smells tend to make me smile.

This made me laugh way to hard so I thought I would share it . Found on Pinterest Where else?

                                                              

Also comes the holiday that I love 

All Hallows Eve.

The day that you can be anything you want to be, within budget.

Living in Bi-Polar Utah during the Fall season can be tricky though . 
Mother Nature likes to play tricks on us, Cruel and cold , icy tricks .

What I am talking about is Snow. Sometimes she pushes fall right out  the front door  blessing  us with this cold ,wet, icy stuff . Forcing Winter Upon us .
Now mind you living here you would think that we are use to this. Right? Wrong, sometimes it is just unexpected and we find ourselves chanting "We're Not Ready "We want fall , and summer back .
Talk about ruining our Halloween.
No child wants to wear a huge winter coat or boots over or under (if they are lucky)that costume you spent all that money on.

Okay enough ranting about the weather. Lets get into the  August Ipsy Glam Bag
This is one of mine and Jayedyn's Favorite things about the month waiting for this bag . I find Jayedyn super excited and reminding me that we need to go pick it up from the PO Box . She has really enjoyed it 
This month's Goodies. The Bag for one. Is yet another Favorite to add to my collection.Can we talk about how stinkin cute this is?It's white canvas with pink on the inside .The design on front is  adorable !!  The talented +Michelle Phan drew them up. 

It makes me  think of a slumber party at Ariel's House. "Singing Out Loud " in the Tune of -

"I want to be where the mermaids are." I want to see  them swimming , splashing ..  LOL

 Let’s get into my bag and the products 

1st product- is a sample size of - Makeup wipes from the brand -Symphony Beauty 

 You can find these online at Amazon. That is the only place I could find them. A 60 count sells for about $10.00 is what I saw. 
They have a few different types. 
Mine is the Moisturize with Cucumber & Aloe Vera
These wipes are free of Sulphates, Alcohol and Parabens they are supposed to cleanse and brighten the skin. How did they work for me ?

*These wipes were great for the removal of makeup. They were not too rough on my face and didn't pull like some makeup wipes tend to do. 

They did add moisture to my face without a greasy residue which I appreciate , No harsh chemically smells and they held up great these are strong .
If I could find these in a store I would more than likely repurchase them?

 They would be one of my favorite makeup wipes yet.

2nd product is a Full size of Nail Polish or Paint pots from the brand-Ciate London in the shade Spinning Tea Cups which is a gorgeous purple shade.

* The polish applies with ease. I wore it for weeks and had no chips it is very long lasting.

3rd product is a sample size Liquid Illuminator from the brand -NYX in the shade -Gleam

This sells for $7.50 for a 0.6 fl oz.

This is a Golden peach with pearl effects. It is  not glittery it gives  just a subtle glow. This make your skin look radiant. 

*The way I wear this is applying a pea size amount to my foundation and mix together. 

It is a bit dark on my pale skin alone so I find that this is the best way for me. You can also wear this to highlight the parts of your body where you want a look of glowing, radiant skin.  
*I am not into the High lighter trend, Just because it can make my rash look worse.

 I used a bit for my eye shadow look and it lasted all day .

4th product is a full size eyeliner pencil from the brand- Beauty for Real in the shade-BlackMagic matte

This sells for $14.00 . It's a waterproof, gel eyeliner
 that does not move or smudge it's Paraben and Cruelty Free, contains Vitamin E to naturally combat aging skin.  We all could use that .

*It goes on like a gel so no tugging and  when it sets its matte. This lasted on me for 9 hrs. It does take a few mins to dry and go matte but after that it did not move. I used it to tight line  and in my waterline with No problems for my sensitive eyes , no smudging or moving at all. A great eye liner just wish you could get it in the drugstore or Sephora . 

5th product is a full size Mask from the brand-

It sells for $20.00 Which is good compared to some of the more Luxury Skin care prices they have. The   highest i saw  was $600 dollars. 

(It better be the fountain of youth for that price .)
I wish I could spend that much on a skin care product.  Especially if it works!

This mask is supposed to moisturize, brighten , and even out your skin tone, stimulate the production of collagen and deliver beneficial nutrients and antioxidants to the skin all while hydrating. 

That is some serious claims .   Did it work?

(As always,before I used this product I did some research on the brand and ingredients.)

*This brand was founded by a cosmetic surgeon. Dr. Alexandrites

He was looking for skin care that would heal his patients efficiently after procedures.  With the help of scientists who study Astronauts and space they came up with a  unique formula to heal , help the skin as well as protecting it in extreme conditions  such as sun, stress and pollutants .

Some of the Ingredients used in his  products  are

*Arbutin- this is used to brighten 

*Silk Amino Acids - used to condition 

*Centella Asiatica-used to stimulate collagen production  

This is also Paraben, Paraffin, silicone,Sulphate Free.  
This gave me the info I needed to try this out .

(I did patch test a bit of the gel behind my ear to make sure I didn't have any reactions . )

                        Here is my scary Mask face.

*This mask feels just like your skin, it is cooling to the body, and it doesn't slide all over. 
*Which I prefer in a mask. 

I use a Facial brush to smooth it out on the skin and help it penetrate more. 
There is a bit of gel formula  left over after you apply the mask so I applied it to the top of my hands to help fight the aging process. 

              ( That is My esthetician tip to you ) 
             SH,,,Don't let anyone know .. LOL
This mask was perfect in consistancy not to dry and not to wet. I could sit up if I wanted to with no worries about it falling off but I chose to lay down. 

I kept this on for about 30 minutes, after I gently massaged the remaining gel into my face, decolletage and neck and went to bed .
This is not a thick formula so I didn't stain my pillow or stick to it.
 The results I saw the next day  made me very happy. 
1st -This mask made my skin glow, 
2-it felt comfortable to the touch  not greasy or gross 

3-I could see some diminishing of fine lines, 
4-my forehead wrinkles were not as apparent, 
5- the crow’s feet and laugh lines seemed to be not as noticeable  

6-I really felt like my makeup application was easier. 

As a matter of fact, I just applied sunblock, moisturizer and a bit of shadow on the eyes that was all I needed to do . My skin looked amazing. 
I got a lot of complements when I posted  a picture to my Instagram, Twitter and Facebook page .

**To be Honest I would love to try more from this brand...  But the Luxury price tag is to much for me.

This says it's supposed to repair, protect, strengthen, and detangle hair with an Abyssinian Oil.   
This special  oil  is exclusive to this brand. 
What is Abyssinian Oil ?

It  is a natural seed oil containing a high percentage of unsaturated Fatty acids making it resistant to oxidation.  *This stuff smells so good. 

This is perfect for Jayedyn's long hair it helps detangle and heal any split ends and protects her color. 

This is a  must repurchase -Keeping an eye out for this at the drugstores...

4th product is 2 full size masks from the brand-

Sally's Box in the -Secret Garden Line 
She got the Camellia Oil Ampoule and the Olive Oil ampoule mask .You can find them online

They sell for $6.00 ? The website was hard to navigate . They are made in Korea. 

They are suppose to offer Ultra Moisturizing and Lifting while replenishing dry rough skin and keep it moist and radiant.

The way that you use these mask are pretty cool. *The first step is the serum.  *Apply to clean face, *let it soak in, *apply the mask and leave that on for 10-20 minutes.

*Jayedyn used the Olive Oil mask for 40 mins  and loved it she said it left her face soft and glowy and moisturized. 

5th product is a  sample size- lip gloss from the brand-Trust Fund Beauty  in the shade -K Bye

What amazing bags for August.

Happy with everything I got  and Jayedyn loves her's except the lip gasm lip product.. 
Jayedyn's products equal out to  a $60.00 product value.  

Some  extra products I got this month were from the brand Dirty Little Secret 

-3 shades of the Velvet Matte Liquid Lipsticks .
*These apply like a liquid and then dry to a matte finish. They will transfer even after it's dry so the wear time is not long lasting. They do not dry my lips. With any formula like this you want to make sure you exfoliate your lips first then apply. 

The first shade is- Crimson which is a beautiful deep red. They say that it can be worn by all skin tones. I am not sure if I pull this color off. What do you think? Nosferatu?

The 2nd shade is- Kisses 
which is a nude with pink undertones 

The 3rd shade is- Cocoa  which is a brown of course. It's  the lip trend for this year... I don't know if I can pull this shade off. What do you think?

Each one sells for $22.00 a piece The packaging is super cute with the white polka dots .

Looking at the crimson shade it reminds me of Minnie Mouse ..
