Few more Purchases from Ulta

                        What’s HOT for spring?
Can I just say that I am loving what I see, both high end and drugstore products
My eyes say yes ,but my wallet says NO.

If you have been reading my blog you will know I have SLE Lupus with that said I do have constant Dr. visits  a lot of co-pays and  my medicine is not cheap  by any means
(I have 8 Different prescriptions to fill monthly which adds up to a lot of  $$$ spent . So I am not able to go crazy and buy all the makeup I see.

I don't wear makeup everyday anyway  because I am not able to work,
don't really go outside lately due to not being able to walk without crying
plus I get really sick when i am outside in the sun so I limit the time i am in it  with activities relating to my kids .
Football has not started yet but then my son goes and joins the track team.
I haven't been to any meets as of yet but I know they will be coming .

If I am being honest i probably only wear makeup  2 x's a week .
I focus more on my skin care and trying to maintain my butterfly rash that I get at times .

So I try not to buy anything extra that I see.

                                                    I said I TRY !

I just can't justify spending a ton of money for items that I wouldn't use regularly . At this point in my palette  collection and the use of products  I am pretty sure they will last for a while. How  do you  avoid being sucked in? when So many sales are going on right now . How do you not buy all the amazing stuff that is coming out ?

Recently Ulta had its 21 Days of Beauty  which is usually awesome and I load up and replenish what I need but This time around I only saw a few things and nothing amazing that I had to try.
I think I may have also been a bit depressed and really didn't care what they had to offer .
what caught my eye through Ulta was the  one day sale (Buy one Get 50% off)

I wanted in on this  sale Pretty badly  so after a conversation with my husband he said go ahead  we discussed a $ amount that I could use .
He would have let me spend what i wanted, but i was focused on just a few things that  I had on my want List.

I felt a little bad about it because I had just spent a lot of  money on skincare to replace what was needed and pick up a few new things from my favorite brand Dermalogica ..
I have a whole blog post dedicated to my skincare you can check it out for more Info on my favorites .

I do have to say My husband is awesome. I guess when I went to school and became a Master Aesthetician I drilled it in his head that skin care is a must.
Because you'll never believe what  he told me.  My skin care  isn't a want it's a need , like buying toiletry  items but not as often.

I went to the web site to find out what I wanted and what was available.  You can probably guess which  brand by now

                          Makeup Revolution
Omgoodness  I can’t get enough products from this company  I love it all !
I  think it’s because of the gorgeous shades which are highly pigmented,
the reviews are great and they do seem to make a lot of dupes for higher end  products .  from what I have read on some reviews ,
plus the cost you can’t beat . It’s so budget friendly most palettes are no more than $15.00.

To Be Honest  I think most of my collection is made up of Makeup Revolution with a bit of Tarte and Too Faced Thrown in .  Of course there are a few more brands in there But the majority of things High End  I own are from Tarte and Too Faced .

Choosing what I wanted  was hard, I sat on the Ulta and MakeupRevolution sites for a while reading  all the reviews  then seeing  if it was available on the Ulta web site
After a hour I was able to figure it out and placed my order .
Now the hard part waiting for it to be shipped
Boy did that seem like FOREVER....

I got 5 Palettes in this order.

1st  Item  The blush Palette in -GODDESS

This is  a gorgeous blush and highlighting  Palette.   It's   a great travel all in one The case is sturdy and durable It's thin and not so bulky .

It has 4 Highlighter shades that go from a natural sheen to an intense illumination.
The blushes are so pigmented and blend like a dream. They go from pink to peach (which is perfect for my pale skin.) I was very Impressed with the color payoff I got and they lasted all day on my face .
Mind you this also included laying in bed .
2nd product is The Iconic Pro Palette –

They reformulated the 16 eye shadows to be buttery, bendable and long wearing. It has mattes and shimmer shades which are wonderful for those neutral looks I do with just a pop of color .
I have used it a few times since I got it and the colors are pigmented and easy to blend and they last all day .
Some people have said that it is a Dupe for the Lorac Pro?
I don’t own this palette so I can’t say 100% by swatching and comparing side by side.  Looking at the shades I do see some that could be similar .
                                                       What do you think?
This palette has a huge mirror and comes with a double ended brush one side is flat and the other side is round. This brush is great Not like the crappy ones you get in other eye shadows that you throw out immediately.

3rd- After looking at the Iconic Pro 1 I decided that  I had to Get the
                                                             Iconic Pro 2 -

This is the same buttery, highly pigmented, 16 shadows with your  mattes and shimmers.  Comes with the same double ended brush and a huge mirror. This intrigued  me a bit. Could this also be a dupe for Lorac Pro 2?

Next was
                                                      The Flawless Matte  Palette –

This palette has 32 shadows, all matte. Great for us hooded eye gals .
There a few hit and misses on a few  shades,  it doesn’t bother me if a shadow is powdery and chalky just a lil bit as long as I can build it up to the color payoff I want .
It also has a huge mirror , no brushes the colors are perfect for the natural day and transition into a night look easily .
Shades are Beautiful, browns, light pinks, tans ,dark's, grayish, blue,  black (which I use as eye liner for a softer look. )
But the Palette itself is amazing .

5th-you can probably guess that I also had to get the next palette in this collection
                                                        Flawless 2 Palette-

This is also a  32 shadow palette, the shades are cool to warm, mattes and shimmers, it has a huge mirror,  is the perfect palette for day and night, durable and sturdy and  one that you can take when you travel .
(you really wouldn’t need another palette  in my opinion)  it has your light shades for  crease and transition, shades for  outer v ,   darker shades   to deepen intensity on that outer v . etc.    It's a keeper.

After Playing around with them a bit  I do have to say I am pretty happy with what I got. They  have a bit of everything included in the palettes  which is great for multitasking. I could even use some of the shades as a blush .
Way to go again makeup Revolution I am very Impressed .

Looking at my Makeup collection now  I have a bit of everything from neutrals to shades of color, Warm and cool tones , Blushes and highlights so you would think I am set right?

I am pretty sure there are going to be many more products that come out that I am going to  want .

I do  want to try the lip euphoria lipsticks  they have... there are 3 shades that are calling to me but will have to wait .

Lipstick is different right? You can never have too many of those.
That's what I keep  telling  myself LOL.

Lupus Update -
I am still not able to walk fully on my right leg without pain. It's getting a bit better . It's seems to last a bit longer standing up .
I hate that I am so dependent on medications to help me get by but if i didn't the consequences would be way worse .
I have tried some essential oils and found a cream at CVS called Fibro cream. It's for pain relief associated with Fibromyalgia and Neuropathy  it works to help take the edge off and dull down the pain .
This is now a Go To everyday product and My heating pad .

I finished my Prednisone recently  and My Norco is almost gone so I have been trying to only use a half a day because I don't want to become addicted.
On a good note  one day I felt amazing and hardly any pain so I decided to go for a walk. I think I may have over done it because the next day I was  right back to how I felt before .
This is a tricky disease I am faced with.
I try not to complain and be positive But It is so hard when I am Independent and want to do things on my own and can't, it kills me .
One day after my Dr visit me and Lonnie stopped at the store .
I put my Stubbornness aside and took a seat in the mobility scooter.
I was okay at first until almost every person in that store was a senior citizen.
I swear it was like being mocked .
Every single person I saw was walking with absolutely no physical problems that I could see.  That made me feel pretty low especially when a nice elderly couple asked me if I needed help getting something out of the freezer section .
I just wanted to cry  so bad. It's usually the other way around. me asking them if they need help. That was a hard blow to my self confidence .
Lonnie could see that it bothered me so he started to joke around at the store and embarrass me LOL . No really it was just playing around which made me feel pretty good .
I know I will have to face more challenges and this journey is not over , is it wrong for me to  want  to be able to walk without cussing and screaming?
 I don't think so .
I am not sure if i am able to do the Lupus walk at this point it's probably not going to happen unless i am in a wheelchair we shall see as the end of the month gets closer.

I am trying to stay positive in so many ways but it's hard sometimes you just can't help it but I always find something to bring me back around so I think I am going to be okay.

Well that is all for this post Let me know what you think about                    Makeup Revolution ?
Have you  tried any of these Palettes?

                                                  As always Keep Fighting
Stay Strong You are not alone
                                                                      Love ya ,
                                                                      Misty

Lupus thoughts and Ramblings June 25th

Hey there.  I hope you are staying safe and sane in this crazy world.  It's a lot to stomach for anyone. I can't go crazy.  I already am!        Serious question? When do you tell your family that their joking around has become hurtful?  It's to the point where I feel like I am in high school again, trying to compete for their love and attention. I am 45 yrs old and feel like I am treated like a child at times. I am told that I am too sensitive and that I take things out of context, that I should just take it, and know they are playing.  Every night it's a roast the hell outta mom till she cries or locks herself in the bathroom so no one would see.  it's not like anyone would care to be honest.  I could cry for hours and no one would even flinch.  When did I become invisible, and so small that it doesn't matter if I am even around?  I am ignored when I am trying to be a mother, I am ignored when I try to let people know ho...

Let's talk showers

Let's talk showers  No, not the kind that falls from the sky when it rains. No, not meteors, but regular showers people take to keep clean. A regular person is in the shower up to 5-10 mins maybe 15 at the most. Well for someone with Lupus, MS and Fibromyalgia it's so much longer. For instance, it took me almost an hour to shower the other day. Why is this you ask? Well, I can barely stand on my own, and do things like lift my hands to shampoo my hair without being so exhausted I have to sit down.  So it begins, the clock ticking away. *10 mins gone * sitting down. Once I finally can I stand back up and commence the ritual of the shower  but wait, after *10 more mins* I need to take a breath before I pass out (literally) it takes sitting down and breathing slowly to make it not feel like my heart is going to leap out of my chest.  I look at my handy dandy Fossil smartwatch and it says my BPM is 140 which I believe.  I try to slow down my breathing, a...

ESSENCE MAKEUP REVIEW

Makeup can be high end and really expensive or drugstore and very budget friendly.  Just because a drugstore brand is budget friendly doesn't mean it is bad quality. Right? Recently while perusing my local Ulta store with Jayedyn                      (on the hunt for a blue eye liner )  after looking at all the different brands from Urban Decay, Ulta , Nyx etc. and coming up empty and disappointed we were ready to walk away when i suggested one more look . Tucked away on an end cap of the isle was a small product line. I had never even looked at this brand before but sitting on the shelf was the perfect blue shade of eyeliner that Jayedyn was searching for & on a 15 yr old girls budget too. I started to take a closer look at some of the products . The nail polish is what  drew me in, the colors were so pretty, it also looked like there were a few dupes for some high end products as well. I ended ...
